About

Joanna Bio picture

Joanna Booth has been established in Chelsea since 1965 and has a diverse stock of Sculpture, particularly early Wood Carvings, Textiles and Tapestries, Old Master Drawings and early Furniture. The combination nonetheless makes an interesting mix and is reminiscent of the Renaissance interior with its emphasis on fabrics and ornament.

We traded from a shop in Kings Road for forty two years but closed in August 2007. We will however continue exhibiting at Fairs and can be contacted by telephone, fax or email. Viewing of our stock is now by appointment and we have both an apartment and storage in Chelsea and we would be delighted to show you any items at either site.

Ian White is continuing to work with me and manages to combine his music commitments with antiques. He is also responsible for our improved photography. When I am absent either at our Mill on the Welsh borders or busy with grandchildren he has complete charge.

We exhibit at Fairs in London and abroad. The Fairs give us more scope to display larger pieces and demonstrate how many of these early pieces look so fantastic in modern interiors. Both sculpture and textiles particularly give a dramatic and individual touch when placed in a contemporary setting but will also look equally good in a more traditional context.

U.K. Customers are always welcome to try pieces out in their houses and we offer a tapestry hanging service if required.

We can also offer advice on the mounting and restoration of works of art, tapestry and textile conservation and the framing of drawings

For anyone who wants a holiday on the Welsh borders we have a lovely cottage to let www.cusopmillcottage.co.uk.
