About Joanna Booth Antiques

Joanna Booth has been established in Chelsea since 1965 and has a diverse stock of Sculpture, particularly early Wood Carvings, Textiles and Tapestries, Old Master Drawings and early Furniture. The combination nonetheless makes an interesting mix and is reminiscent of the Renaissance interior with its emphasis on fabrics and ornament.

After 42 years trading from the same premises we have decided to close the shop, after much deliberation, from the 20th August 2007. We will however continue to exhibit at major fairs and can be contacted through the same telephone number, fax and email address found on this website. Viewing of our stock will be by appointment only, seven days a week, a short distance from Kings Road, Chelsea, and we very much hope to continue the valued relationship with our customers, present and future.

We exhibit at four Fairs a year; two in the States at Palm Beach in February and New York in April, and two at Olympia in London. The Fairs give us more scope to display larger pieces and demonstrate how many of these early pieces adapt so well to the modern interior. They provide a dramatic and individual touch when placed within contemporary architecture but will look equally good in the more traditional setting of a country house.

U.K. Customers are always welcome to try pieces out in their houses and we offer a tapestry hanging service if required.

We can also offer advice on the mounting and restoration of works of art, tapestry and textile conservation and the framing of drawings.
